About Me
I’m a board certified dermatologist with more than 10 years of experience treating patients of all ages. It’s been great to see the patients with whom I’ve established a connection keep coming back for quality care. Working at the Ohio State Outpatient Care Gahanna has shown me the impact that getting timely, efficient care without a wait can have on a patient’s overall healthcare experience. Here, I’m part of a friendly, compassionate team that will do everything in our power to help our patients get back to better health. I love getting to practice clinical medicine and perform dermatology procedures, even more so when I can combine those clinical responsibilities with mentoring medical students and residents.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my children, gardening, cooking and reading.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.
As of 09/30/2022, Dr. Plotner has reported no relationships with companies or entities.
I feel like she does a very thorough assessment. She did remove an area of concern on my skin which did turn out to be basal cell carcinoma. It was a spot I would not have thought was a problem at all.
I really like Dr. Plotner. She is attentive and thorough with a great bedside manner.

Dr. Plotner is wonderful. I developed a bleed after I got home from my cyst removal, and even though Dr. Plotner had gone home for the day, she herself called to speak with me and then offered to meet me back at the office to take care of the situation. She found a popped stitch and replaced it and added another stitch for good measure. She did all this cheerfully and kept me from feeling like a burden to her time. I can't say enough good things about her professionalism, skill, and devotion to her patients.

Dr. Poltner was extremely knowledgeable and very very caring. She even called herself to tell me about the lab results and that I needed to make another appointment. The best part was she was able to get me in for the procedure the next day.

She offers alternatives in care plan when such alternatives exist and makes recommendations among them OR explains the pros and cons of each so I can better decide the direction I prefer. This is the fist time I've seen Dr. Plotner and I was very impressed. Very thorough and knowledgeable and so friendly. She did a skin biopsy when I was there (I went for a routine skin check) so I didn't have to come back. I didn't feel a thing and it is healing so well.
