COLUMBUS, Ohio – Physical medicine and rehabilitation patients at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will join Ohio State University Alumni band members for a ‘Beat Michigan’ pep rally at noon on Tuesday, (11/25) in the Dodd Hall gymnasium, 480 Medical Center Drive.

Reporters and videographers are invited to attend as Shelley Graf, Ohio State’s first female drum major and the first female drum major in the Big Ten, and a physical therapist at the Medical Center, puts on a twirling exhibition while the band plays “Hang on Sloopy” and several other Buckeye fan favorites. Media representatives are asked to call the Media Relations office at 614-293-3737 to make arrangements for event coverage and parking.

Graf and the band will conclude the rally leading patients, many in wheelchairs, around the gym for “Script Ohio.” The rally will last approximately 30 minutes.

Dodd Hall is nationally recognized for its programs to treat patients with head, neck and spinal cord injuries, and those recovering from strokes. Dodd Hall is repeatedly listed as one of the best rehabilitation facilities in the country in annual surveys conducted by U.S. News & World Report magazine.
