COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center will conduct a symposium that focuses on the treatment of endurance athletes and athletes with disabilities on Friday (5/1) from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Fawcett Center, 2400 Olentangy River Road.

Hosted by OSU Sports Medicine, the symposium will address medical, surgical, psychological and nutritional management for endurance athletes, as well as rehabilitation and injury prevention strategies. Additionally, there will be a live demonstration of a running gait analysis, a prosthetic fitting and a wheelchair fitting. 

Aaron Baggish, MD, will be the keynote speaker for the symposium. Baggish serves as the cardiologist for the Boston Marathon and has ongoing research in heart function and heart disease in athletes.
