Based on my 30 years of patient care experience, I believe physicians should give patients our best effort. We should treat them like we would our own family member and establish a personal bond with them.

Vascular surgery is an exciting field. People ask me if I could go back and do it all over again, would I? The answer is yes. With all the new technology and new procedures, you can help so many people.

I immigrated to the U.S. in the 1970s. I wrote a book called, “An American Journey: Life Lessons for Parents of Immigrant Children.” It’s based on my own personal life and experiences. The book helps immigrant parent’s deal with the challenges of raising children in another culture.

In my spare time, I enjoy relaxing with my family, writing, reading, attending Ohio State football games, playing in a music band and volunteering for a domestic violence agency.
