About Me
I practice in otolaryngology, which focuses on ear, nose and throat health. I specialize in rhinology, an area of medicine emphasizing the nose and sinus conditions. My specialties include sinus surgery and endoscopic skull base surgery.
My goal is to deliver therapy that is tailored to each individual patient. I believe in engaging each patient to achieve this goal. I seek to first identify an accurate diagnosis and then recommend the best form of therapy for that patient.
I enjoy the people I work with at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. I appreciate the positive atmosphere and dedication to excellent patient care. These are qualities that are exhibited at all times at Ohio State.
When I'm not on the job I take time to relax with my family, attend Ohio State football games and enjoy the outdoors. I also really enjoy playing the guitar.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. Dr. Otto's passion for his work & for positive results on his patient's behalf is exemplified by his willingness to explain what he is looking for & share what he finds during the exam. Moreover, his ability to integrate his observations & responses to questions with concurrent pointers to his resident is a tribute to his teaching skills & leadership. Very fortunate to be in his care.

The doctor took all the time I needed to explain my concerns and understand his explanations.
He was awesome! Took the time to listen and really figure out why I can't breathe.
Dr. Otto spoke too fast and talked about how he needed a grant to get the equipment to do the kind of surgery that might help me. The medical student did the examination of my nose. Dr. Otto stood clear across the room and suggested I begin a "Paleo diet" and some obscure kind of Gaviscon, because all these symptoms are from some sort of reflux and not the Effed Up septoplasty I had. FFS

Dr. Otto is my ENT surgeon and is beyond fantastic. He has consistently listened to my concerns, is incredibly knowledgeable and respectful and my surgery was successful. The follow up care he provided after my surgery was exceptional and included him advocating on my behalf for a post surgical medication that should help prevent my issue from returning which would require yet another surgery. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Otto! I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone having sinus issues. Life changing, positive experience.

Did not listen to me. Talked over me, and interrupted me. Was not concerned about the issue that I presented and spent the majority of the time telling a story about previous provider. The whole visit took about 10-15 minutes and I was rushed out.
