About Me
My passion for family medicine began during the time I spent working in an Afghan refugee camp located in Iran. That same passion lives on inside me today.
I now provide care as a board-certified family practitioner here in the United States, and I am happy to enjoy a unique bond with my patients and their families. This allows me to engage in discussions that focus not only on short-term solutions, but also on long-term health goals. I believe health is the most important factor in anyone's life and it's a privilege to help my patients achieve better health.
Preventative services including health screenings and behavioral modification are an integral part of my practice. I treat patients of all ages from a variety of cultures, and tailor treatment plans specifically to each person's unique needs while actively involving the patient in his or her own health.
I enjoy working at The Ohio State University because our goal is to provide the best possible care for all patients. Having the opportunity to work in an academic environment with easy access to different specialties, pharmacists and nurses allows me to provide my patients with the most current diagnostic methods, tests and treatments.
In my free time I enjoy relaxing with my family, reading, cooking, enjoying the outdoors and playing the santoor, an Indian musical string instrument.

Consulting and Related Relationships
At The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, we support a faculty member’s research and consulting in collaboration with medical device, research and/or drug companies because a faculty member’s expertise can guide important advancements in the practice of medicine and improve patient care. In order to provide effective management of these relationships, the University requires annual disclosures from all faculty members with external interests related to their University responsibilities.

Dr. Behrooz is the best doctor I have ever had, and I have had a lot of doctors. She listens and genuinely cares about your well being.
Dr. Behrooz is always friendly and professional. She reviewed my records, asked questions about my current physical and mental health, completed the yearly Medicare survey, refilled prescriptions and ordered followup bloodwork. She also recommended the new pneumonia vaccine which was administered before my appointment concluded. I thought she was quite thorough.
I travel 1 hour from my home to see my provider. She was going to refer me to a physician close to my address. I am more than happy to travel the distance to see her
My doctor is very attentive, she remembers me, offers perspective, and is importantly firm when appropriate. (I'm hesitant about medication.) I really trust her (and like her!).
She has been my provider for the last at least 7 years very knowledgeable very thorough both of my children also are patients we love Dr Behrooz!!!!!

Behrooz is awesome. My mom, sister, and I have been seeing her for a long time and I like that she remembers me and doesn't come across like she needs to review my notes every time I come in. The only issue is that it seems like not enough is being done to diagnose my health issues.

Dr. Behrooz has been my primary Dr. For many years and I can trust her to be caring and complete in the care she gives.
I have never had a bad experience regarding Dr. Behrooz's care. If a new health problem comes up, she does not leave 'a stone unturned' to get the appropriate care; either with her or with a referral. She is kind and always ends the visit this an encouraging word.

She is very nice but not a great steward of resources. She orders tests that are not required. Example, I wish she did not order pregnancy test when prescribing birth control or require liver function tests for topical retinoid.
