Ohio State's Burn Center hosts a variety of events to address the needs of patients and their families.

Annual Burn Center Golf Outing

In conjunction with the Central Ohio Chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, the first Monday in October is reserved for a golf outing fundraiser for Ohio State’s Burn Center.

Burn Survivor Activities

Since 2007, Ohio State’s Burn Center has supported burn survivors and their families with activities. These activities can offer support sessions, challenging activities such as high ropes courses and fellowship. The activities occur throughout the year.

SOAR (Survivors Offering Assistance in Recovery)

Ohio State's Burn Center offers support groups for you to share your story, express feelings and concerns, gain support from other burn survivors and connect with others in similar circumstances. People who have successfully recovered from burn injuries help others move from being a burn victim to a burn survivor. Burn survivors who are peer supporters have gone through a screening process, a training session and are hospital volunteers.

Support groups are held the first Tuesday of every month beginning at 5:30 p.m. in 107 McCampbell Hall, 1581 Dodd Drive, Columbus OH 43210 (parking vouchers provided). Please contact Heather Lauderback at 614-293-7184 for more information.
