Living Well focuses on your complete health and wellness.

Living Well is the complete wellness and total health approach to weight management. Phase 1 focuses on weight loss through healthy nutrition, behavior modification and exercise. Phase 2 helps you continue your weight loss as you advance on your health goals. Quality of life improves as you feel better and work to prevent chronic conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

Living Well Phase 1

The program includes:

  • An initial wellness orientation, including a MedGem® test to determine resting metabolic rate
  • A supervised, reduced-calorie meal plan that enables the participant to lose weight safely
  • Weekly education classes in the areas of nutrition, behavior change and exercise, taught by a registered dietitian, behaviorist and exercise physiologist
  • Weekly weight checks
  • Option to participate in a monthly 30-minute health coaching workshop
  • Fitness evaluations at weeks 1, 12 and 24
  • Food and exercise journals reviewed weekly
  • One-on-one education, as needed, with a registered dietitian or exercise specialist
  • Option to schedule up to three individual appointments with a behaviorist and a health coach

Phase 1 meal plan options:

  • All food meal plans (1,200 to 2,000 calories per day)
  • Modified meal plans (1,200 to 2,000 calories per day; up to three nutritionally complete, high-quality meal replacement – HMR – supplement products)
  • Full fast meal plans (800 + calories using five or more HMR supplements per day)

  • Discount for full-payment at wellness orientation
  • Payment plans available with minimum partial payment due at wellness orientation
  • Ohio State University Health Plan members may be eligible for up to 50% reimbursement

Living Well Phase 2

Build upon your success in Phase 1. The Living Well Phase 2 program offers progressively less structure with more emphasis on activity and identifying/overcoming behavioral roadblocks to weight loss and greater wellness.

The program includes:

  • A repeat MedGem® test to determine resting metabolic rate. (Your metabolic rate can change with weight loss and may contribute to a weight-loss plateau.)
  • Three individual appointments with the professional of your choice
  • Weekly weight checks
  • Weekly education class that focuses on underlying issues that often sabotage your success, and more hands-on exercise experience
  • Option to participate in monthly 30-minute health coaching workshops

Phase 2 meal plan options:

  • All food meal plans (1,200 to 2,000 calories per day)
  • Modified meal plans (1,200 to 2,000 calories per day; up to three HMR supplements)

Cost: $470 for six months; $235 for three months
