U.S. Mail is delivered daily to the unit clerk on each unit by a staff member from the mail room. Mail is then distributed by the RN or PCA.

Flowers and balloons
- Flowers are delivered to patient rooms by a hospital employee or volunteer.
- No live flowers are allowed in Intensive Care Units, anywhere in The James and other select units throughout the hospital. Please verify the guidelines of the unit your loved one is on before arranging for flower delivery.
- Due to latex allergy concerns, only Mylar balloons are permitted.
- Order balloons from the Scarlet Ribbon Gift Shop located on each hospital campus by visiting go.osu.edu/giftshop.
- At East Hospital, flowers can be delivered to the front desk (181 Taylor Ave.) from 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Friday. A hospital employee will deliver them to patient rooms.
