The point I would like to emphasize when medications don't work, please come to Ohio State. We are one of the advanced epilepsy surgery centers. We offer most advanced treatment options to find out the focus where the seizures are coming from. Sometimes it's very easy for us to find the focus from MRI, scalp EEG, PET scan, and neuropsych. And a small group of patients may require some additional testing, which include stereo EEG intracranial monitoring, where we put electrodes in the brain, find the focus, see if there's any important function around that epileptic focus, and can we remove that safely. And if we can, that has the best chances to help your seizures and control your epilepsy. And if we cannot remove that focus, that other treatment options of neuromodulations are very reasonable approaches to control your seizures.
