Beth Short, APRN-CNP, DNP: If you should have an onset of crushing chest pain or shortness of breath that you can't speak, you need to call 911 and go to the emergency room.

If you should be walking up a flight of stairs, get a little short of breath, maybe have some chest pain and it goes away, or you have a shoulder pain and it's been there for a month or so, those are appropriate for you to be seen in the Heart Express Care clinic to see if the underlying cause is cardiac related.
