However, if it's a sudden onset of crushing chest pain, that would need more evaluation and you should call 911 and be seen and evaluated in the emergency department. The Heart Express Care Clinic is staffed and ran by nurse practitioners, nurses and nursing assistants. The provider would be a nurse practitioner, however, the nurse practitioner is in collaboration with a cardiologist who is available at all times. The Heart Express Care visits are billed at a specialized rate, which is a little higher than an urgent care visit but less than an emergency room visit, and most insurances will cover the visit to the Express Care clinic.
