My personal goal is to make sure that patients stay healthy. Most people don't know that they need to establish care and do an annual wellness visit at least once a year so that we can talk about preventative screenings. If you're due for a mammogram, colonoscopy, a pap smear, we can discuss that all throughout the visit. If you're due for vaccinations, we can also discuss that together. A brand new patient visit would be establishing care, about you getting to know me and me getting to know you. If you have any chronic health conditions, we can discuss those conditions together and come up with a personalized treatment plan. We as nurse practitioners are not here to replace physicians, but work in conjunction with them to fill a much-needed healthcare gap, which is accessibility and long wait times.
