And among the surgery, the options are far advanced. We have open craniotomy based option, but in this modern era of epilepsy surgery, we have options like laser surgery and certain research based interventions, which can include using focus ultrasound waves. The treatment options. The first line of treatment option include finding the focus, where the seizures are coming from, and once we find that epileptic focus, depending upon the brain region, the best treatment option will be surgery if we can remove that focus. And again, the focus can be removed with the help of an open surgery or using a minimal invasive epilepsy surgery technique like laser surgery. But if the focus is in the region of the brain where we cannot safely remove it, then that group of patient can be offered neuromodulation therapy options, which can include vagal nerve stimulation, deep brain stimulation, and responsive nerve stimulation. These are the three neuromodulation or neurostimulator techniques that are available to help the patients who are not a surgical candidate and can help them to have a better control over their seizures.
