Also, those who are just not really ready for surgery right now. And for example, some patients who are probably better for medications than surgery would be a patient who's actively smoking. That patient is definitely at a higher risk of complications in the short and long term from bariatric surgery and therefore would probably be a better candidate for the medications as opposed to surgery while they're working on their smoking cessation.
