[Music playing] Jessica Henning, CNP: Functional medicine is a way of looking at our health as everything's connected to the next thing. So as a former ecologist, I think that when you're looking at an ecosystem, you are looking at how the trees and the bunnies and the wolves and the rain interact. I'm looking at the same when I'm looking at your body. So I am looking at your blood flow and the nutrients in there, but then also the food you're taking in and then the environment that you're living your life in. So we are looking at ... It's a systems biology approach. We're looking comprehensively at the whole person and making our plan with that.
