[Music playing] John Grandominico, DC: Chiropractic medicine focused on conservative treatment and management of musculoskeletal conditions. Chiropractors practice a drug-free, hands-on approach to healthcare that includes patient history, examination and diagnosis to determine if chiropractic treatment is appropriate for your condition. We do not prescribe medications, perform surgeries, or give injections. Our treatments may consist of a combination of manual or manipulative therapies, physical modalities, rehabilitative exercises, nutritional counseling, and we may also provide acupuncture or dry kneeling. Most common therapeutic procedure is known as manipulation or an adjustment. This is performed by applying a manual force to the joint to restore mobility, decrease pain and muscle tension. Common conditions we treat are neck and back pain, headaches, upper and lower extremity conditions, and whiplash injuries. During a visit, we focus on pain relief treatments, activity modification, proper body mechanics, and rehabilitative exercises. We'll also encourage patients to maintain their daily activities and exercise if possible. In some cases, referral or co-management with other providers may be appropriate for your condition.
