Meenal Misal, MD: In most cases, if a doctor is monitoring your ovarian cyst and it is small or non-concerning, you don't have to modify your daily activities at all. However, if you have a larger ovarian cyst or a more concerning or suspicious type of ovarian cyst, your doctor may give you recommendations such as avoiding vigorous exercise or contact sports.
