A virtual course with a series of learning session, which will introduce conversations with theoretical foundations of racism, which connects the 21-Day Anti-Racism Challenge®. The course will include conversations that explores identity, power, privilege, race, racism, and role of self-understanding with the objective to create anti-racist and ally individuals and environment.
Conversations that Matter will be held monthly on Wednesdays at 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. through June 23.
Upcoming topics include:
- What are some of your earliest memories of coming in contact with people different from you?
- What are the main changes that need to happen to increase understanding and cooperative action across racial lines?
- How has racism changed during the last five decades?
- What stereotypes have you heard or seen about different racial groups? Where do they come from?
- Does race affect your life? Why or why not? If so, in what ways?
