Jacalyn Buck is interim chief nursing and patient care services officer for The Ohio State University Hospital and Health System; associate chief nurse executive for University Hospital in both Medical Surgical Nursing and in Women and Infants Nursing; administrator of Health System Nursing Quality, Research, Education & Evidence-Based Practice; and an adjunct faculty member for the College of Nursing. In nursing at Ohio State for more than 23 years, she started as a staff nurse in the NICU and has held positions of increasing responsibility including director of Nursing – General Clinical Research Center and director of Nursing – Women and Infants.
In addition to her clinical and leadership positions, Dr. Buck has completed numerous poster and professional presentations, publications and research studies. She is an American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet© appraiser.
Dr. Buck earned her PhD, MS and BSN degrees from The Ohio State University. She was named a “100 Alumni Transformers in Nursing and Healthcare” honoree in 2014 by the Ohio State College of Nursing.
