Position summary

Nurse Practitioner (Job Opening 434819) - Scope of Position Nurse Practitioner to provide health care to patients who are critically ill with cerebrovascular and neurological diseases. Reports to the Medical Director of Neurovascular Stroke Center and Director Neuroscience. Will perform rounds with the vascular neurology team daily; obtains histories and physicals on patients admitted to the NCCU and stroke service as well as stroke consults. Assists with training of students and staff; ensures completion of documentation of services; provides procedural services once adequately trained and credentialed, as applicable. Numerous opportunities will be available for clinical research and to assist in the development of the Multidisciplinary Cerebrovascular Section. Education and experience

Graduation from an accredited nursing program. NP certification and state licensure as a nurse practitioner. Meets mandatory education and health surveillance requirements. Demonstrates competence in technical, interpersonal, and cognitive skills required to meet essential job functions.
