Physical Therapist (Job Opening 437525) - The OSU Sports Medicine Center offers a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach to the prevention and treatment of injuries in athletes and active individuals. Position Summary

The Sports Medicine Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist works under the general supervision of the Sports Medicine Administrative Director and under direct supervision of the YMCA Rehab Team Leader. The Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the respective practice of physical therapy and occupational therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, to those they supervise (physical therapist assistants and athletic trainers) and to others involved in the patient care activities.

Education and experience

All Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist team members must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board. For Physical Therapists, additional credentials in Athletic Training, Strength and Conditioning or a Sports/Orthopedic Specialty (SCS/OCS) in Physical Therapy are preferred. For Physical and/or Occupational Therapists working in Hand Therapy, credential of Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) is preferred. Experience working with Sports Medicine and or Orthopedic caseloads is desired.
