Position summary

Social Worker - Rotation (Job Opening 440529) - SCOPE OF POSITION Harding Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are committed to enhancing the quality of care our patients receive. Our hospital is a multi-disciplinary academic center for excellence providing behavior health inpatient services. As part of those services, the Core Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides group and individual therapeutic programming for the adult and adolescent units on a daily basis, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and will include the CALM unit. The Social Worker functions within the Interdisciplinary treatment team to provide trauma informed care aimed at achievement of maximizing the patienta??s involvement in their own care plan, improved patient care outcomes, and improving service leading to improved patient satisfaction. Patients and their families will experience the benefit of patient focused care through the integrated skills of the treatment team members. The Core Team provides coordinated, theme based groups, in keeping with evidenced based practice and the concepts of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, the Recovery Model, and other evidenced based interventions. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for clinical work with patients, including providing group therapy with a focus on trauma informed, evidence based practice. Assist lead Core Team social worker and/or Director of Social Work with: Core Team curriculum development and review, coordination of Core members groups along thematic goals, Core Team prioritizing and scheduling, and the ongoing development of innovation in treatment. Social worker will participate in treatment meetings, inpatient flash rounds and other activities as indicated. Participate in training of graduate students; provide training to Harding staff regarding Core Team initiatives as needed.

Education and experience

Mastera??s Degree in Social Work; Licensed Social Worker in State of Ohio, training and experience in Psychiatric treatment in a hospital setting is preferred. Experience in providing evidence based treatment and trauma informed care; familiar with Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Recovery Model concepts of treatment preferred. Inpatient hospital experience is preferred; training and experience in Group and individual psych-social interventions preferred. Must be willing to work some evenings, holidays and weekends.
