Position summary

Social Worker - Lead (Job Opening 440791) - SCOPE OF POSITION Harding Hospital and The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center are committed to enhancing the quality of care our patients receive. Our hospital is a multi-disciplinary academic center for excellence providing behavior health inpatient services. As part of those services, the Core Team is a multi-disciplinary team that provides group and individual therapeutic programming for the adult and adolescent units on a daily basis, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, and will include the CALM unit. The ad Social Worker functions within the Interdisciplinary treatment team to provide trauma informed care aimed at achievement of maximizing the patient?s involvement in their own care plan, improved patient care outcomes, and improving service leading to improved patient satisfaction. Patients and their families will experience the benefit of patient focused care through the integrated skills of the treatment team members. The Core Team provides coordinated, theme based groups, in keeping with evidenced based practice and the concepts of Dialectical Behavior Therapy and the Recovery Model. POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for the coordination of the Core Program Team which includes development and review of program goals in keeping with the Harding Hospital and treatment team objectives. The curriculum development and review, coordination of Core members groups along thematic goals, coordination of Core Team prioritizing and scheduling, and the ongoing development of innovation in treatment. Clinical work with patients, including providing group therapy with a focus on trauma informed, evidence based practice. Participating in administrative and treatment meetings, including Behavior Health Administrator meetings, Unit Leadership Council, Flash Rounds and others as indicated. Participate in training of graduate students; provide training to Harding staff regarding Core Team initiatives as needed.

Education and experience

Master?s Degree in Social Work; Independent License, with Supervision designation, with extensive training and experience in Psychiatric treatment in a hospital setting is required. Experience in providing evidence based treatment and trauma informed care; familiar with Dialectical Behavior Therapy and the Recovery Model concepts of treatment. Inpatient hospital experience of at least 5 years is required; training and extensive experience in Group and individual. Must be willing to work some evenings, holidays and weekends.
