Position summary

Imaging Supervisor (Job Opening 445234) - SCOPE OF POSITION The Imaging Supervisor is responsible for the day to day supervision of Imaging Services at OSUWMC, encompassing all Radiology and Imaging Services across the Health System and reports to the Associate Director, Imaging Services. This includes, but is not limited to, imaging services in Interventional suites, MR, CT, Ultrasound, Plain Film Radiographics, ORa??s and ERs, with services across multiple hospitals and ambulatory imaging sites across Central Ohio. Services rendered provide invasive, noninvasive and therapeutic procedures for the diagnostic, treatment, and prevention of disease for inpatient and outpatient populations. OSUWMC provides care to patients with service 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The supervisor may be required to travel among all sites and work as a team to provide high quality imaging services to our patients. POSITION SUMMARY The Imaging Supervisor has operational oversight for staff, as well as maintaining and managing the machine schedule, including calling patients to schedule and confirm appointments. The Imaging Supervisor ensures appropriate staffing coverage throughout the day for his/her assigned specialty area. The Imaging Supervisor serves as the primary contact person for other faculty and staff members of the departments when questions about the assigned specialty areas arise. The Supervisor provides all quality assessment activities for the imaging site, in addition to the maintenance of accreditation of the site, under the direction of the Radiology Associate Director. Assesses Technologists, Radiology Service Associates and administrative staff performance for annual appraisals, as well as orients new staff. The Supervisor may cover additional responsibilities, as necessary.

Education and experience

Preferred Bachelor of Science degree in Radiologic Science degree with an advanced imaging registry, or advanced imaging registry plus 1 year supervisor experience in an imaging facility. Must have experience with EMR, timekeeping systems, and imaging informatics systems. Should have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and other Microsoft products.
