Position summary

EAP Counselor (Job Opening 437301) - Provides direct mental health services including assessment, brief solution-focused counseling, addiction assessment and intervention, referrals a wide range of resources, follow-up and case management to Ohio State University faculty, staff and benefits eligible dependents. Additional skills include management consultation, triage, crisis intervention, mediation, training and presentation skills to groups. Develop presentations on a variety of topics including change management, conflict resolution or mental health concerns in the workplace. Ability to do EAP outreach and promotion. Collaborative talents a must as an integral part of self-insured health plan, university medical centers, academic campuses serving a diverse population of employees and groups. Serves on committees and panels across the University, focusing on wellness and emotional wellbeing. Knowledge of critical incident stress management interventions. Competent in computer use and data collection, clinical record keeping skills. May include providing on-site counseling services.

Education and experience

Masters Degree; Current Ohio Independent counseling licensure. 3-5 years experience ; CEAP credential preferred; knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues; EAP academic experience; proficient with social media and data analysis
