Position summary

Associate Dir - Sterile Supply (Job Opening 458685) - The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Associate Director - Central Sterile Supply (CSS) is responsible for daily operations and administrative leadership within CSS, including the various satellite areas. The Associate Director maintains oversight of sterilization practices that occur within the CSS department and satellite reprocessing locations. Serves as the subject matter expert in sterilization, guiding the health system to ensure all processes are compliant with applicable standards and regulations. The Associate Director assumes responsibility for managing the vision for the department, determining the strategic and operational plans to support the vision of the department and the health system, operationalizing the plans, and evaluating and or revising the plans as needed. The Associate Director is key in operationalizing systems within the departmentsa?? scope, directed toward achievement of quality patient care outcomes, improvement of service levels, and reduction of costs. Education and experience

Bachelora??s degree required and clinical licensure preferred. At least five years of applicable healthcare and clinical experience in sterile processing. Knowledge of specific healthcare products, instruments, equipment and the basic use, broad knowledge of inventory control, supply distribution, aseptic techniques, infection control, reprocessing techniques, and production management are essential; at least 3 years of management experience in Sterile Processing in a healthcare environment is required. Current IAHCSMM or CSPDT certification required.
