Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator (Job Opening 456615) - Scope of Position
Under the direction of the 340B Program Assistant Director, analyzes all data related to participation in the 340B Program and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the program. Prepares and assists in the monitoring, tracking and reporting measurements by conducting audits to ensure program compliance. Measures compliance to 340B split billing software (using Sentry product) on a daily basis and reports and and all variances to the 340B Pharmacy Manager. This position also performs other compliance and auditing functions as assigned.

Position Summary
The 340B Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator employs problem solving, analytical, and technical skills to maintain 340B compliance. Maintains the split-billing software platform, works to ensure cost savings are maximized by 340B purchases and works in partnership with the finance department to investigate, correct, and modify any billing discrepancies and pricing issues. The 340B Pharmacy Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for reviewing wholesaler invoices prior review by the 340B Program Assistant Director; computes monthly 340B cost savings report; reviews amount due to wholesaler and follows up on discrepancies or past due amounts; assures that all policies, procedures, and related approaches to the program include the most efficient use of resources and other costs of managing, monitoring, and fully participating in the program. This position also supports pharmacy purchasing group with GPO/WAC/340B purchase determination from wholesaler. Coordinates education programming for 340B compliance topics.

Job Responsibilities
This person is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of the pharmacy 340B program for all qualified entities within the organization. Works closely with pharmacy, supply chain and hospital leadership to help coordinate and maximize the cost savings and potential of the 340B program. Responsible for program enhancement/optimization, split-billing maintenance duties, reporting, auditing, policy and procedure development, and education. Participates in the orientation and training of volunteers, pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, undergraduate and graduate students and other hospital staff. Attends department sponsored continuing education programs. Satisfies life-safety training and other training and education requirements.

Education and experience

High school diploma, PTCB certification, 5 years of total relevant health care experience, 2 previous years in the OSUWMC Department of Pharmacy desired, previous 2 annual reviews must be a rating of ?achieves? or higher, strong science background, knowledge of the metric system and good math skills. Prior experience working with hospital based 340B programs and report development preferred. Prior experience with split billing software and electronic medical record preferred. Must demonstrate responsible decision making abilities, and conduct self in a positive and encouraging manor conducive to the hospital, department and administrations? visions and values. Must meet and maintain minimum competency requirements for a Lead Pharmacy Technician. Familiarity with pharmacy terminology, medication names and aseptic technique desirable.
