Faculty Affairs Coordinator (Job Opening 457064) - Serves as Coordinator for Faculty Affairs for the Department of Internal Medicine; coordinates and administers processes for the appointment, reappointment, annual review and promotion and tenure activity for 500+ regular track faculty and 370+ auxiliary track faculty under the direction of the Vice Chair for Academic Affairs; serves as primary liaison for Division Directors, Division Administrators and faculty as they navigate these processes; serves as one of the primary departmental contact for the College of Medicine's Office of Academic Affairs (OAA) to maintain accurate processes and documentation; monitors procedures for accuracy and necessary adjustments; composes communications for the Vice Chair; provides administrative support for Chair Office functions as directed by the Senior Department Administrator, Associate Director and Chair; coordinates Focused Professional Practice Evaluations for departmental physicians; gathers data and creates reports.
Education and experience
6 mos. experience (600 hours course work or training) in customer service or communications, including researching, analyzing & interpreting information; 3 months experience (300 hours course work) in budgeting. Additional Qualifications: Some positions require 6 mos. experience (600 hours training) in operation of spreadsheet, publication, and/or presentation software and related computer equipment; and/or 3 mos. exp. (300 hrs course work) in supervision management and 3 mos. experience (300 hours course work) in interviewing. Previous experience supporting faculty affairs is preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check.
