Position summary

Associate Director-Nursing (Job Opening 440027) - Position Summary The Associate Director (AD) has direct oversight of all clinical aspects for Interventional Radiology suites within Imaging Services and reports to the Administrator, Imaging Services. The AD works in partnership with a team of IR physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and RN's and Imaging Technologists to achieve departmental/organizational objectives and metrics including financial/budget targets, safety, efficiencies and high quality in the delivery of patient services while promoting a high performing workplace. Responsibilities include overall planning, direction, and evaluation of patient care operations for Interventional Radiology, Radiology Prep and Recovery, and works with Post Anesthesia Care services across the health system. The AD is directly responsible for all quality management, performance improvement and educational operations within assigned departments. They will ensure clinical expertise in nursing practice, nursing care delivery, staff education, research, collaboration with other disciplines and interdisciplinary development activities across all Imaging locations within the health system. Operationalizes the Medical Center's mission, values and goals and creates an environment that supports the nursing professional practice model. Responsibilities also include oversight and adherence to Federal, State and Joint Commission regulations. Imaging Services at OSUWMC encompass Radiology and Imaging Services in the Health System, including Interventional suites, MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic, and Ultrasound. Imaging services are also provided in decentralized locations at OSUWMC and are networked throughout Central Ohio. Services rendered provide invasive, noninvasive and therapeutic procedures for the diagnostic, treatment, and prevention of disease for inpatient and outpatient populations. OSUWMC provides care to patients 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. Education and experience

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing with current licensure as an RN in the State of Ohio. Baccalaureate Degree in nursing required, Masters Degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Five years of nursing experience, plus an additional three to five years management or leadership experience is required.
