Position summary

Adv Practice Lead - Rotation (Job Opening 440705) - The Advanced Practice Providers Lead-Rotational assists the Manager and Director with the planning, organization, direction and evaluation of the health care services provided by advanced practice providers. Under the guidance of the Manager and Director, the Lead assists in managing, guiding, coaching, and evaluating the work performance of inpatient and ambulatory advanced practice providers. Contributing to the ongoing operations of the Nursing Department and collaboration with other patient care departments/areas that relate directly or indirectly to patient care operations and services is essential. The Lead is also responsible for providing direct health care services as advanced practice provider to patients within the parameters of a standard care agreement or supervisory agreement with an attending physician member of The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Health care services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention and referral to other health care providers and community resources when appropriate. Position functions during regular daytime business hours, evenings, weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. May take on call responsibility.

Education and experience

1. Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio or National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification 2. Current certificate to prescribe (CTP) in the State of Ohio and a current DEA number. 3. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. 4. Master's degree in Nursing. Or graduate from an accredited master's physician assistant program. 5. At least one (1) year experience as an APP at The James. 6. Maintains credentials to practice at OSUWMC
