Clinic Nurse-B (Job Opening 445294) - Scope of Position The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) - Register Nurse/Clinic Nurse functions as an integral member of an interdisciplinary team of care providers cultivating cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The interdisciplinary team, consisting of the Physician, the Nurse Practitioner, the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC), the Patient Care Associate (PCA), the Patient Services Associate (PSA) and the Office Associate (OA) provide patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient's involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving service levels, reducing wait times, and decreasing costs. Patients and their families will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. Position Summary The 11 James Clinic treats a patient population that includes hematology patients and patients that are pre-transplant, post transplant, and patients receiving outpatient transplant protocols. The RN is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The RN is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The RN prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of, the patient care team.

Education and experience

Graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing. Current Ohio license or interim permit. Previous experience in a relevant care setting preferred.
