Position summary

Open Faculty Search (Job Opening 436789) - Open Faculty Search in Division of General & Gastrointestinal Surgery, Department of Surgery. Supervises, organizes and provides biostatistical support for research and quality improvement in the field of general surgery to include hernia, foregut and bariatric surgery; serves as principal investigator or co-investigator on research projects; participates in establishing an active program of health services research; designs research projects and authors grant proposals; collaborates with other investigators; authors publications and presents research reports in scientifics forums; contributes to the research mission by training students and residents in research.

Education and experience

PhD or equivalent required; demonstrated accomplishment in research required. Experience in outcomes research is required. Experience in randomized and non-randomized techniques including propensity score analysis is desired. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physicial including a drug screen.
