Position summary

Assistant Professor (Job Opening 442205) - Assistant Professor functions as a faculty member in the Department of Physiology & Cell Biology with responsibilities that include instruction of undergraduate, graduate, and healthcare professional students; develops, implements and maintains an active research program in cytoskeletal proteins; develops, writes and submits research proposals to extramural funding agencies to support research program; participates in collaborative research projects and activities; writes and submits manuscripts, reports, book chapters and articles for publication in peer-reviewed scientific literature; evaluates scientific data and research proposals of others in the scientific community; serves on committees; presents at professional meetings

Education and experience

Doctoral degree in medicine, physiology, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience or demonstrated success in securing extramural funding for research grants and proposals with peer-reviewed publication of research.
