Position summary

Assistant Professor (Job Opening 445399) - Contribute to research and education programs in biomedical informatics and affiliated departments through engaging in bioinformatics, clinical and translational science and data science; contributes to publications in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals or conference publications; leads and collaborates in the development of programmatic funding proposals and science; leads biomedical informatics research and development driving biological discovery, translating knowledge and advancing personalized health care; develops and participates in education and service activities. Education and experience

Doctorate or equivalent degree in computer & information science required; evidence of peer reviewed journal and/or conference publications is preferred. Candidates for advanced ranks (Associate Professor or Professor) should have demonstrable track records of significant and ongoing scholarly productivity, national leadership, and extramural funding. Final rank contingent on Appointment, Promotion and Tenure. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
