Position summary

Research Data Analyst (Job Opening 438437) - Research Data Analyst to support the health services research team in the College of Medicine Office of Research; collects, organizes, analyzes, and disseminates data; identifies, analyzes, and interprets trends or patterns in complex primary and secondary data sets using advanced statistical and analytic software; manages spreadsheets using advanced data manipulation techniques; prepares reports to aid in operational decisions, strategic planning and current and future research projects; works with research team and faculty to develop, write, and edit statistical and data management components to scientific documents including protocols, manuscripts, presentations and other scholarly work including grants; maintains and manages multiple simultaneous analytic projects to deadline; works with collaborators to establish and collect data ensuring compliance to regulatory and legal requirements for the exchange of materials and data; designs, establishes, and maintains integrated datasets and electronic data capture systems to evaluate health services research data in a manner that that optimizes statistical efficiency and data quality; acquires, cleans, and integrates data from primary or secondary data sources into existing data using data management approaches that are replicable and auditable; collaborates with information warehouse and other sources to identify ways to integrate data into research databases.

Education and experience

Bachelor's Degree in health services research, statistics, information or operations management or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required; Master?s degree preferred; experience in a statistical or information technology capacity supporting research required; experience using statistical analysis software (e.g., Stata) for analyzing large quantitative datasets required; experience in using Excel at advanced levels required; experience in the use of vendor-provided APIs (e.g., Qualtrics) for data extraction; strong analytical skills; requires successful completion of a background check.
