Sr. Business Systems Analyst (Job Opening 440313) - Scope of Position The Wexner Medical Center at The Ohio State University is committed to enhancing the quality of care and service provided to patients. The Senior Business Analyst evaluates, designs, and builds information systems designed to communicate organization and provider performance aligned with organizational objectives, including use of predictive analytics and business intelligence tools to model interventions and their anticipated result. The incumbent will lead implementation and evaluation of strategies and tactics designed to improve the patient experience across the continuum of care.
Position Summary The Senior Business Analyst will be primarily responsible for evaluation, design, and development of information systems designed to communicate organization and provider performance aligned with organizational objectives, including use of predictive analytics and business intelligence tools to model interventions and their anticipated result. The incumbent will also implement and evaluate of strategies designed to measure, report, and enhance the patient experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. This includes data analysis and reporting, as well as identification and deployment of best practices to improve service and processes of strategic importance to the Medical Center. Responsibilities include significant data analysis, forecasting, statistical modeling, small and large scale project planning, implementation, management and evaluation to achieve measurable improvements in the patient and family experience at the Medical Center.
Education and experience
-Bachelor's degree in computer science, Masters preferred in Health Administration, Public Health, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education & experience
-Minimum of 4-8 years of information systems experience required
-Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills required
-Strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices as they relate to the delivery of high quality & service-oriented care
-Demonstrate solid history of achieving measurable results with complex and dynamic teams
-Strong analytical and project management skills required
-Strong computer and analytical skills, including advanced knowledge and use of programming languages, Microsoft Office products, Internet, and social media tools. Ability to learn new systems software.
