Position summary

Resource Planning Analyst (Job Opening 443045) - Senior Research Analytics Specialist to develop frameworks and data classification schema for use in Health Services Research (HSR) in the Center for the Advancement of Team Science, Analytics & Systems Thinking (CATALYST); accesses and analyzes data through virtualized and non-virtualized instances; plans, coordinates and conducts qualitative data analysis (Atlas.ti) with research generators; designs advanced electronic data capture systems for integrated data capture (Qualtrics); quality control of data entry across multiple coders and contexts; manages relationships with funding partners to both develop appropriate deliverables and meet contract obligations; assists in interviewing and assessing potential computation team members; utilizes collected data to propose testable hypotheses; contributes to Methodology and Results/Preliminary Results sections of manuscripts and grant proposals; performs data consolidation and management on OSUWMC servers, shared and virtual data systems, using shared data platforms (e.g., Qualtrics) and vendor-mandated systems and technologies; plans and implements strategies for bibliometric and social network analysis of research-related scholarly publications, integrating and synthesizing research literature across multiple disciplines; supervises staff in advanced literature search and evaluation methods, and strategies to maximize efficiency of scholarly communication; works with research staff to ensure that publication-ready figures and tables are appropriate for manuscripts and grant proposal preparations; provides training on analytic platforms to research staff.

Education and experience

Bachelor's Degree in information sciences, health sciences, public health or other relevant field required or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred; considerable experience in research data analytics in both virtualized and non-virtualized settings; considerable experience designing and using advanced electronic data capture systems required; experience in a health services research capacity desired, preferably in an academic medical center environment. Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
