Position summary

Apps Development Consultant (Job Opening 443193) - POSITION SUMMARY
Contributes strategic vision and serves as the top-level technical contributor in the planning, design, development and implementation of integrated applications that support and enhance the administrative and management needs of the business. Serves as a top-level consultant in the analysis and validation of system requirements to existing/new business processes and information systems to ensure desirability, practicality, and resource availability and capability. Designs, develops and implements the most complex programs and/or modifications of existing applications. Devises or modifies procedures to solve the most complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of the most complex applications according to organization standards and end-user requirements. Responsible for the determination, diagnosis, isolation and resolution of complex applications resource and utilization problems and errors. Consults on major initiatives and projects, including multiple departments, service lines, platforms, and various administrative interfaces regarding the integration of application technology with overall business/healthcare solutions. Acts as a subject matter expert on application strategies, procedures, policies, and methodologies. Provides direction and insight to leaders, peers and team members regarding the identification and alignment of strategic systems requirements with evolving business/healthcare opportunities. Recognized across the organization for applications expertise and sought as a source for resolution of unique or the most complex systems problems.

Education and experience

-A college degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
-Typically has 8 plus years experience in Information Technology (preferably experience in Applications Development)
-Knowledge of program logic, analysis, specification design, language selection and report formatting
-Work experience in developing technical and user documentation.
-Strong project and process management skills; ability to manage large complex projects/initiatives that involve high risk and great impact for the company
-Knowledge and experience with information systems and business practices
-Ability to assist other team members with their technical issues
