Position summary

Research Data Analyst (Job Opening 443787) - Functions as a Research Data Analyst to support the data collection, management and analysis needs of funded research projects as a member of the Department of Biomedical Informatics; designs and develops complex integrated scientific databases and end-to-end applications to evaluate clinical, translational, foundational and outcomes research data; confers with biomedical researchers to identify and provide solutions for the collection and management of required data relevant to research protocol; identifies resources, data elements and issues to capture required data; plans, designs and manages complex coding of research data; ensures validity and integrity of data; identifies and resolves inconsistencies in data, data collection and software issues; develops and establishes new or revised research methodologies for collection, reporting and monitoring data; contributes to on-going research-related infrastructure development efforts.

Education and experience

Bachelors degree in biological sciences, computer & information science or public health, or other relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required; experience using relevant statistical software packages;  experience in SQL, Electronic Data Capture (e.g. REDCap, OnCore, StudyTRAX), Case Report Form (CRF) development, software integration, and database development; experience in a research environment desired; excellent communications and customer services skills required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
