Position summary

Sr. Quality Manager (Job Opening 443808) - Scope of Position The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center (OSUWMC) is committed to enhancing the safety of care provided to patients.  The Senior Quality Manager for Patient Safety will oversee the development and implementation of various parts of the patient safety program. Components of the program include but are not limited to: creating a culture of safety, accreditation / regulatory compliance monitoring, physician profiling, education, event report and sentinel event management, root cause analysis, proactive risk assessments, and recognition initiatives.  Implement these performance improvement activities from a workgroup/pilot setting to Health System wide roll outs will be a significant piece of this position. 

Position Summary Under the direction of the Director, Patient Safety, assists in the development and implementation plans for the initiatives comprised of the various patient safety initiatives across the Health System.

Education and experience

Required BS in health related specialty, Masters preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 5 years of healthcare quality management experience required. Demonstrates results using root cause analyses and processes required and/or other quality improvement tools. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills required. Strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices as they relate to the delivery of high quality & safe health care. Strong project management experience &experience using variety of quality tools required. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
