Position summary

Project Manager (Job Opening 444130) - Project Manager to lead, direct, and supervise quality improvement science and state health care transformation evaluation activities identifying partnership opportunities between colleges and universities with health and human services agencies (project sponsors) as part of the Government Resource Center (GRC); collaborates with experts to evaluate state policy and quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for continuous improvement; manages quality improvement and health policy research projects; identify and support solutions for data collection, analysis, and dissemination; performs analysis of healthcare performance metrics in collaboration with work teams composed of staff from different areas (The Ohio State University and other universities); researches current and developing technologies, such as electronic health records, and provide guidance regarding capabilities, limitations, and requirements; determines resource needs; facilitates and plans meetings; assigns daily tasks to be performed in support of projects; identifies project problems or issues and determines resolution; evaluates results of projects; identify and support applications and interfaces for electronic data capture; oversees and ensures project participants meet project goals in timely and efficient manner; evaluates project effectiveness and works with sponsors to refine outcomes and set future expectations; prepares comprehensive and complex reports to communicate results and recommendations to sponsors and other appropriate constituencies.

Education and experience

Bachelora??s degree, Master's degree preferred; strong analytical and project management skills with ability to resolve problems and present appropriate business solutions and recommendations; experience with SQL and R skills for querying EHR data preferred; requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
