Position summary

Sr. IT Communications Tech (Job Opening 445279) - Leads less experienced staff in second level support and maintenance of the telephony, video and peripheral equipment environment at OSUMC. Responsible for the installation, monitoring and service of the Unified Communications hardware, software and peripherals at the whole unit or individual component level at OSUMC. Provides technical expertise, fault diagnosis, identification, isolation and resolution for the most complex telephony, video and peripheral equipment issues and deployments. Working within the guidelines established by the OSUMC Technology Services and Support team within OSUMC IT, performs complex and project related break/fix and deployment duties within the medical center. Acts as a team leader for complex assignments and issues associated with the unified communications function.

Education and experience

Degree in Computer Science or related field, and or at least 5 years equivalent experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Working knowledge and practical application of telephony and video equipment and their components in a wired or wireless environment. Cisco Callmanager experience required. Preferred experience with: Cisco VOIP Unity Experience, Cisco VOIP CCX Experience, Cisco Video Conference Experience
