Position summary

Program Director (Job Opening 445520) - The Program Director directs the development, implementation, advancement and measurement of strategic and innovative programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Director provides administrative support to the program area in the areas of Institutional Review Board, Office of Sponsored Programs and staff training and mentoring. Also demonstrate the capacity to inspire and communicate effectively, both internally and externally; develop and maintain positive and productive relationships with program participants, families and OSU affiliates. The Program Director works with state and national committees/organizations to identify areas of need in response to the changing and emerging trends as related from the federal coordinating center; provide oversight and leadership in the development and implementation of measures to collect and analyize for evaluation of program outcomes and components. Writing both for publications and seeking additional fundin sources will be required. The Program Director will assure quality and compliance with federal and state guidelines and assumes responsibilities for pilot, replication sites and subcontractors. Conduct research activities under the direction of the PI for an evaluation of the effectiveness of the program area including presenting and producing publications while also supporting the continued sustainability of the area with aid in grant writing activities. Works as part of the leadership team assisting the PI in manageing all daily operations in primary areas of responsibility and acts on the behalf of the PI when needed. Education and experience

A Master?s degree in an appropriate field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Considerable knowledge of education administration and principles is required. Considerable experience in program planning and administration is required. Experience and knowledge of developmental disabilities desired; Requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
