IT Recovery Solution Consltnt (Job Opening 449402) - Scope of Position
Responsible for identifying, planning, remediating and communicating business requirements, business contingency planning and recovery solutions of the OSUMCs computing environment. OSUMC IT Technology Services and Support team is committed to assisting The Ohio State University Medical Center (OSUMC) and its patients.
Serves as a technical and process expert in developing and validating business continuity requirements and recovery solutions for key infrastructure and business applications. Determines and develops business continuity requirements, infrastructure assessments and recovery solution standards. Conducts business continuity audits, disaster recovery and high availability testing and reviews where appropriate. Fully documents current systems and makes recommendations to minimize/eliminate business interruptions, ensure continuity of business and implementation of strategic and tactical improvements to the recovery infrastructure. Collaborates with clinical and financial leaders, regulatory auditors and IT teams to ensure that technology decisions and strategies align with the overall business continuity plans and recovery plan. Leads large complex IT business continuity and infrastructure recovery projects and ensures alignment with the overall recovery solutions plan.
Education and experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education required. Experience in Information Technology, or a related field with at least 8 years of relevant experience to include server, storage, and network. Experience in disaster recovery solutions, infrastructure services, operations, and/or support desired. Understanding of relevant technologies and development life cycles. Strong overall technical knowledge across infrastructure services. Strong Interpersonal/relationship management skills. Excellent written and verbal skills. Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing required.
