Position summary

Sr Apps Development Analyst (Job Opening 459743) - The Electronic Data Capture Senior Application Management Analyst (EDC-AMSA) is responsible for daily administration and management of Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems (e.g., REDCap and Qualtrics) including development of projects from user specifications and troubleshooting existing projects.  Provides leadership in the direct integration of technology into research protocols and projects.  Defines business requirements and project specifications for assignment to junior staff.  Adheres to standard practices to ensure the availability, security and performance of EDC applications. Provides technical assistance and customer support, managing relationships with requestors, creating projects, and correcting issues. Provides technical guidance pertaining to the capabilities, limitations and requirements of EDC applications.  Proactively problem-solves, identifies root causes, researches best practices, and makes suggestions to team.  Research and test new features/functionality with guidance.  Coordinates and facilitates audit activities, suggests strategies for issue mitigation.  Willing to learn and adapt to meet new and changing technological demands.

Education and experience

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Healthcare, Nursing, Pharmacy, or Allied Health. Must have 4+ years experience in research environment (a combination of both research and information technology is highly preferred). Considerable experience in REDCap development with strong understanding of underlying data structures. Experience interacting with customers to gather and understand their business and technical requirements required. Understanding of IHIS/EPIC data structure desired. Ability to contribute to various scales/sizes of projects/initiatives. Experience working with Excel/CSV files for importing and exporting data.
