Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 443030) - Post-Doctoral Researcher to pursue research training and experience under the direction of a scientific mentor within the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology; conducts research in disease mechanisms involving epigenetic regulations; identifies and selects research problems to be studied; performs molecular, biochemical experiments to determine transcription factor interactions; obtain in vivo evidence using knockout mice and vascular models; collects and analyzes data; prepares research results for professional publication; presents seminars on research findings; participates in the writing and preparation of grant applications for extramural funding and grant progress reports.

Education and experience

PhD or MD in medicine is required; experience in cell biology, biochemistry, RNAseq and ChIPseq data interpretation is strongly preferred; scientific publication record desired; requires successful completion of a background check; selected candidate may be required to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen;
