Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 443589) - Post Doctoral Researcher pursues specialized research training and education within the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine with a focus on acute lung injury and molecular mechanisms of mechanotransduction within the Department of Internal Medicine; plans and conducts experiments using microscale models of the lung, in vivo models of lung injury, and human samples from critically ill patients; uses established laboratory protocols and develops new protocols; provides quality control for experiments, researches new methods, reviews scientific literature, collects and analyzes data, prepares manuscripts for publication and assists with development of grant applications; guides and trains students and lab staff in laboratory techniques as needed and works collaboratively with other laboratory staff.

Education and experience

Doctoral degree in Molecular and Medical Biotechnology required; Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
