Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 447907) - Post-Doctoral Research to pursue specialized research training and experience under the direction of a scientific mentor within the Institute for Behavioral Medicine research in the Stress, Behavioral Immunology and Health Disparities Lab. Conducts research on biological pathways linking chronic stress and health, with a focus on health disparities with a primary focus on racial and socioeconomic disparities in perinatal health and discrimination and stigma in relation to health disparities among sexual minorities; develops hypotheses, conducts data analyses, writes and prepares original empirical manuscripts, for publication; supervises and trains members of research team; assists with recruitment, data collection, and data consolidation; plans and designs research to test hypotheses; conducts literature reviews to increase knowledge and discover new research trends and methods

Education and experience

Doctoral Degree in clinical psychology, health psychology, developmental psychology, child psychology, perinatal epidemiology, psychoneuroimmunology, or related fields is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Qualified candidates may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
