Position summary

Post Doctoral Researcher (Job Opening 448681) - Postdoctoral Researcher will conduct independent research under the guidance of the principal investigator, studying the function of single neurons in the vertebrate retina primarily using electrophysiological and anatomical techniques; Collects data and participates in analyzing data for publications and grant proposals; Prepares and writes manuscripts, articles, abstracts, research reports and conference papers for publication and presentation; Participates in writing grant proposals; Trains staff in techniques; collaborates and seeks expertise from other labs; Attends and presents research findings at local and national scientific conferences, workshops and seminars; Assists in the supervision of graduate and undergraduate students in the laboratory.

Education and experience

PhD or equivalent degree required; Significant experience in electrophysiological recording and/or anatomical techniques preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be requested to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
